What Our Google Reviews Say About Working With ARM Premium Painting

Finished work by ARM Premium Painting

As of October 22, 2026, ARM Premium Painting has a 5.0-star rating from 142 reviews on Google. We’re proud of that number, but a star rating on its own doesn’t tell you much about what it’s like to have us in your home. The reviews do.

So we went back through the reviews we feature on our site and looked for what customers mention again and again. Five themes kept coming up. Every quote below is copied word for word from a review on our Google Business Profile. We don’t write, edit or tidy up reviews, including the spelling of the owner’s name (it’s Cris, though plenty of people write Chris).

1. Communication, from the first call to the final walkthrough

Most painting complaints start with a contractor who goes quiet. That’s the first thing our customers bring up.

“Cris the owner has been very responsive from my first contact. Scheduling was prompt.”

James Sharkey, interior and exterior painting

“Fast, easy communication, from quote time all the way to the final day.”

Danielle W., whole-home painting, crown molding and drywall

“Their boss, Chris, thoroughly explained the process and gave valuable suggestions.”

Linda Garrison, interior painting

That’s deliberate. Every project starts with a clear written estimate, and someone from our team is reachable while the work is underway. You can call us at (240) 981-4472 at any hour.

2. Finishing on schedule, even around Maryland weather

“They did a wonderful job and finished ahead of the scheduled time.”

Marlena Hebern, interior painting and shutters

“We had constant rain showers and they worked around them to get the job finished and did a great job.”

Michael Lingerfelt, exterior painting

“Worked with me to stay on budget and on schedule.”

Danielle W.

Reliable timelines come from planning before the first brushstroke: the right crew size, materials on site, and an honest read of the weather for exterior work.

3. Prep and protection you can see

A paint job is only as good as the prep underneath it, and customers notice when furniture and floors are taken seriously.

“The crew meticulously prepped the walls and ensured all furniture was protected.”

Jacquelyn Corbett, interior and exterior painting

“They went above and beyond repairing minor issues without being asked.”

Jacquelyn Corbett

4. Leaving the house cleaner than we found it

“The painters meticulously cleaned up after completing the work.”

Sandra Lanier, painting

“Excellent job and area was cleaned up.”

John Giambrone, exterior sealing and staining

We treat your space like our own. Clean, respectful worksites are one of the four promises we build every job around.

5. Detail, for customers who describe themselves as particular

“I am VERY particular 😂, and Cris was incredibly patient, accommodating, and committed to making sure everything was exactly how I wanted it.”

Mya Pak, cabinet painting

“Blended perfectly with the rest of the ceiling. You’d never know the patch was there.”

Michelle Green, drywall repair and painting

“The painting was perfect in every detail.”

Troy Bates, painting before a home sale

The review that matters most: the second job

The best sign of a contractor is a customer who calls back.

“I’ve been using this company for the past 4-5 years for various drywall needs.”

Chelsea Isaac, drywall

“I’ve used this company before and will do so again.”

Tom L, drywall repair and door painting

“I am not surprised because Chis did outstanding remodeling work for us several years ago.”

Troy Bates

How to read any contractor’s reviews

Whether you hire us or someone else, a few habits help you read reviews well:

  • Look for specifics. Real reviews name rooms, surfaces, crew members and what went wrong or right. Vague praise tells you little.
  • Check recent reviews. A company’s best year may have been five years ago.
  • Read the owner’s replies. How a business answers a problem tells you more than the five-star reviews do.
  • Compare platforms. Check Google, Angi, Nextdoor and the BBB and see if the picture is the same.
  • Confirm the license. In Maryland, look the company up with the Home Improvement Commission. Our guide on how to check a painting contractor’s license shows how.
